Mike Sorrentino Black Eye: "The Situation" Got Punched By His Mom Prior To His Arrest

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's brother, Marc, recently opened up about the dramatic fight which landed Mike behind bars.

Last month, the former Jersey Shore star was arrested after what was reported as a family fight at a Sorrentino-owned tanning salon in New Jersey, and now, fans are finding out more details about the physical altercation.

"I'm going to let you in on a secret, mom is the one who got him," Marc told E! News on July 8, in regard to his brother Mike's black eye. "She got him with a left. Mom's the tough one."

Following the fight, which happened on June 17 at the Boca Tanning Salon, Mike was arrested and charged with simple assault. At the time, E! News reported that the fight took place shortly after 2 p.m., when Mike allegedly showed up to the salon to tell his brother Frank that he was fired.

"Yeah," Linda admitted of her jab. "I broke my finger. I just got it out of the sling. I was trying to break him and Frank up and I think I missed."

Days after the fight took place, Marc, who is the oldest Sorrentino brother, played peacemaker.

"I try to remain calm in all these situations," he said. "At the end of the day, we are all family. Everybody has a brother or sister they fight with."

Despite what would have been a dramatic moment for the Sorrentino family's new TV Guide Network reality show, The Sorrentinos, Frank confirmed to E! that the brawl went down after the season had wrapped.

"There were no cameras filming it," he said.

The Sorrentinos premieres on Tues., July 15, at 10 p.m. on TVGN.
