Benedict Cumberbatch is the most in-demand actor these days. The handsome Brit had been filming and promoting films left and right.

The Sherlock star recently promoted his anticipated Alan Turing biopic, The Imitation Game. The movie also stars Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode. The plot of the film is about how a group of brilliant mathematicians led by Turing cracked the German Enigma code that saved millions of lives during World War II. Turing was later on prosecuted because he was gay, and committed suicide in the later part of his life.

The film is getting a lot of Oscar buzz and Cumberbatch and Knightley could win the prestigious award next year. Both actors won in the recently concluded Hollywood Film Awards.

For the month of November, Cumberbatch has two films in tow, one is The Imitation Game and the second is the Madagascar spin-off The Penguins of Madagascar. He voices Classified, a gray wolf and team leader of the North Wind who helps out the Penguins defeat John Malkovich's character, Dr. Octavius Brine. Ironically, on a previous voice over by Cumberbatch about a Penguin documentary, his pronunciation of the word Penguin was "Pengwings".

For December, he voices the dragon Smaug in The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, which is the final film for The Hobbit trilogy.

By January, he is set to shoot a Sherlock special. At the moment, he is shooting scenes for the TV film The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses, playing as Richard III.

The Emmy award-winning actor was also rumored to be playing a pivotal role in the Star Wars 7 movie, which he consequently denies being a part of the film. These rumors came out when the teaser trailer of the anticipated Star Wars sequel was released, claiming that the voice behind, was Cumberbatch.

Need we continue more? The high-cheek-boned actor has a lot on his plate right now, but he says he would love to continue with Sherlock, even when he grows old. Sherlock, is a BBC TV series that catapulted Cumberbatch's popularity worldwide.

Despite all these, he recently announced his engagement to theater director, Sophie Hunter the old fashion way, in a newspaper on November 5. A lot of hearts were broken, specifically his loyal and adoring fans called the Cumberbitches.
