A brand new trailer for the upcoming film Blackhat has released starring Chris Hemsworth. The 31-year-old actor is joined in the film by Tang Wei, Viola Davis, Holt McCallany, and Leehom Wang. You can check out the new trailer above. 

Plot: American and Chinese agencies work together to stop a conspiracy involving a cyber criminal. With the help of Nicholas Hathaway, the authorities pursue the mysterious suspect as the dangerous search leads them from Chicago to Hong Kong.

Blackhat is scheduled to released to theaters on Friday, January 16, 2015. 

Blackhat is directed, produced and co-written by Michael Mann and Morgan Davis Foehl. Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni produce alongside Mann, while Alex Garcia and Eric McLeod serve as the executive producers.

The film was tentatively titled Cyber, however the final title was revealed on July 26, 2014 during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con International, and it was being estimated that it might qualify for the Oscars.

Hemsworth is an Australian actor best known for his role as Kim Hyde in the Australian TV series Home and Away (2004) and as Thor in the Marvel Studios films Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013) and the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). He has also appeared in Star Trek (2009), A Perfect Getaway (2009), The Cabin in the Woods (2012), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Red Dawn (2012) and Rush (2013). He will appear in the 2015 film In the Heart of the Sea, based on the book of the same name by Nathaniel Philbrick.
