Sienna Miller's now on her second act and she's on a roll. "Dude, I'm trying to be cool about it," she tells Jason Gay in her interview for Vogue. "But secretly inside, I'm dancing."

She has cause to secretly dance inside. After all, the 32-year-old Miller's finally been getting choice parts in great movie projects by great directors left and right these days. She's just been seen in Bennett Miller's wrestling drama Foxcatcher. She will next be appearing in Clint Eastwood's American Sniper, a real-life story of the late decorated U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, which will show in theaters on December 25. By next year, she has been signed up for roles in Unfinished Business, Black Mass, Mississippi Grind, High-Rise, The Lost City of Z, Live by Night, and a still untitled comedy drama film to be directed by John Wells.

For a long time, former "It" girl Miller said she believes that she probably had to overcome a perception problem in Hollywood. "It's undeniable that I did have a reputation as someone who was a little bit wild, maybe," she admitted. "I think for a while, my public perception was a hard thing to overcome because people had such a strong preconceived idea of who I was." To overcome it, she she went out and grabbed at whatever opportunities she could to do legitimate film, television and stage work. It started to pay off when in 2012, she was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress as well as for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role as Tippi Hedren in the HBO TV film The Girl.

Miller's parting words for the interview seem apt for the situation she's in right now. Said she: "I like earning my spring. I like suffering through a miserable, gray, soulless winter and then seeing the first crocus, and the feeling you get when it's over. There's something I find incredibly rewarding about it."

Vogue's January issue features Miller on the cover and the inside pages.
