House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey brought home one of the biggest awards of the night at the 2015 Golden Globes on Sunday night (Jan 11) for 'Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama'.

"This is just the beginning of my revenge," said Spacey during his acceptance speech. "This is the eighth time I've been nominated, I cannot believe I f**king won."

Spacey then took a more serious tone and honored director Stanley Kramer. He shared about a conversation he had with the late filmmaker: "Your films will stand the test of time and will influence filmmakers for all time. And I didn't know if he really retained what I said or not. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn't. But as I stood up to leave, he grabbed my hand... and he said as clear to me as anything he ever said, 'Thank you so much for saying that to, that means so much to me. I just wish my films could have been better.'"

Spacey added, "I just wanted to be better, I just want to be better, but this is very encouraging, thank you very much."

House of Cards Season 3 is set to premiere on Netflix February 27.

The series left off with Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) becoming the President of the United States and is now the most powerful man in the world. Using tools like lies, manipulation, and murder to get what he has always wanted, viewers are asking one question: will Season 3 finally show his downfall?

Show creator Beau Willimon spoke with the New York Times' and hesitantly revealed some spoilers. He said their would be more philosophical turns the show might take in the next season, particularly dealing with Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) jourey to the top. He hinted that Underwood might struggle to find purpose in his life as he reaches his goal of presidency. "What do you do when you're on top of it?" Willimon said. "Who are you? You can no longer say, 'I'm the guy trying to reach the summit. Now, it had to have meaning. It used to be that the meaning was getting there."

House of Cards was also the first time a program from only a digital platform received a high-profile Emmy nomination.
