There is a lot of excitement amongst fans on the upcoming sequel of the successful science fiction thriller film, Prometheus. Director Ridley Scott has not been shy, promoting and sharing about the new movie every opportunity he can get. He was even talking about Prometheus 2 during the press rounds for the movie Exodus in December of last year.

At the interview, the reporters asked Scott on the status of Prometheus 2 and surprisingly the director was more than willing to answer questions about it. He told the media that the sequel will focus on Noomi Rapace's character, Elizabeth Shaw and the decapitated David the Android (played by Michael Fassbender) as they continue to search for the Engineer's homeworld.

Scott also revealed a potential romantic relationship between Elizabeth and David. David will be dangerous in the sequel and at the same time seductive, so there is the tendency that Elizabeth might put his head back on to his body.

The 77-year-old director also downplayed the opinion of some critics saying that he has not been reading any news on the press since he got criticized big time for his work on Blade Runner.

The director said that he does not make films to please critics but only the moviegoers and himself.

Prometheus was set in the late 21st century and the focus is on the crew of the spaceship 'Prometheus' which was following a star map discovered among the artifacts of several ancient cultures in earth.

As they search the origins of humanity, the crew of Prometheus lands on a distant world and discovers a threat that could cause the extinction of the human race.

Prometheus 2 will hit theaters on March 4, 2016.
