Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman, the movie adaptation of the DC Comics series of the same name, is scheduled to show in theaters beginning June 23, 2017.

Israeli actress and fashion model Gal Gadot stars as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman in both the solo, stand-alone superhero movie and in the two upcoming ensemble cast Justice League films. She will also be making an appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the sequel to 2013's Man of Steel. Gadot who is best known for her role as Gisele in the Fast & Furious film series franchise becomes the third actress to play Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in a live-action film. The stand-alone Wonder Woman movie is slated to be directed by Michelle MacLaren, a Canadian TV director and producer who has worked on shows for hit series such as The Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, NCIS, The X-Files, to name a few. She won back-to-back Primetime Emmy Awards for producing Breaking Bad in 2013 and 2014. She will be making her debut directing a full-length big-budget feature film for theatrical release in Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman.

Jason Fuchs who penned the script for Warner Bros. Pictures' Pan, which will be seen in theaters beginning July 24, will also be writing the screenplay for the studio's Wonder Woman movie according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 28-year-old scribe will be working with director MacLaren on the development of the drafts for a suitable plot and storyline for the Amazonian princesses' first solo outing on the big screen.
