Assuming that Samsung's yearly release schedule is followed, the Galaxy S6 may be expected to come out by April 2015. However, there are indications from the company itself that there may be some delays in the launch of it next-gen smartphone. At its 4th quarter financial report for last year, it suggested that the upcoming Galaxy S6 may not be seen until nearer May or June as during the first quarter of 2015, it will "focus on increasing sales and improving business performance through new product line-ups, such as the Galaxy A series," all-metal unibodied budget phones A3, A5 and A7.

Regarding the Galaxy S6's rumored specifications, the usually reliable tipster SamMobile says "it should come with a Quad HD (2560×1440) display, 64-bit Exynos 7420/Snapdragon 810 processor, 16/20-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 32/64/128GB storage, and Broadcom's new BCM4773 sensor chip." The site also revealed that "Samsung will be launching a variant of the Galaxy S6 with a curved display, called the Galaxy S6 Edge (the name could change in the coming months, but we don't think there's a high chance that will happen.) We don't have more details, but we're guessing the curved screen will be similar to that of the Galaxy Note Edge's and will bend at one side of the phone."

GSM Arena hints that the Galaxy S6 will be 5.65 inches x 2.78 inches x 0.28 inch in terms of size and will have a 5.2-inch display screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels made of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with TouchWiz UI and multitouch capability. Moreover, it ships with accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, gesture, heart rate sensors; messaging capability for SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM; HTML5 browsing; wireless charging (Qi-enabled); Smart stay, Smart pause, Smart scroll; air gestures support; Dropbox (50 GB cloud storage); and more. The site also claims that it will come in either charcoal black, copper gold, electric blue and shimmery white.
