Milla Jovovich is in advanced negotiations to star in Myriad Pictures' In The Lost Lands, a film adaptation based on three fantasy adventure short stories by author George R.R. Martin of Game of Thrones fame. Confirmed to co-star in the movie is Canadian actor Justin Chadwick, 32, whose film credits include War of the Worlds, The Invisible, and Dragonball: Evolution and who is a regular on the TV series Shameless.

Constantin Werner is set to direct the upcoming film based on a screenplay he wrote which will be interconnecting through the three Marin short stories. As explained in the statement by Myriad to The Hollywood Reporter, "In one thread, the desperate queen of a city built into a towering mountain hires the sorceress Gray Alys (Jovovich) to travel into the ghostly wasteland called the Lost Lands, to obtain the gift of shape-shifting into a werewolf, but she doesn't realize that the fulfillment of her wish will come at a terrible price. Meanwhile, warrior girl Sharra must fight a dragon that serves as the gatekeeper of seven worlds to reunite with her lost lover Kaydar. During this quest she meets the mysterious lord of a deserted castle, Laren Dorr, who seduces her so completely that she forgets her quest and stays with him, unaware that he is the real gatekeeper. And in the futuristic tale Bitterblooms, a young barbarian girl gets spellbound by a lonely witch in a spacecraft, who shows her beauty and love, which turns out to be a net of lies and deceit."

The project is being produced by Steve HobanOliver Luer and Nico Bruinsma, with Myriad's Kirk D'Amico serving as executive producer. The film will be a Germany-Canada co-production and is planning to begin shooting in Germany in the last quarter of 2015.  In The Lost Lands marks the first time that Martin's work will be adapted for the big-screen.

Jovovich is reportedly also set to begin filming in August 2015 for her husband Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the sixth and last installment in the Resident Evil film series to reprise her iconic role as Alice.
