MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with retina display, both these devices have recently got their share of upgrades from Apple. Their features are compared by Gizmag in its latest article.

Both the versions of MacBook have the same look as far as the exterior front is concerned, but the MacBook Air is 4 percent taller and 3 percent wider than the retina display MacBook counterpart. And as far as the weight is concerned, the MacBook Air weighs 1.58 kgs, which is 15 percent lighter than the retina display MacBook, weighing at 1.35 kgs.

Both have aluminum bodies, so the weight is limited to the other features, excluding the exterior body of the laptop. Also, both of them are available in a silver finish, no other colors have been proposed for these laptops yet.

Both these machines have a display of 13.3 inches with an aspect ratio of 16:10, which is the highest for any Apple device till date.

However, retina display MacBook has a far superior resolution, at 2560 X 1600, which comes out to be 227 ppi than the MacBook, which has a display resolution of only 1440 X 900, which comes out to be only128 ppi. So if you need a really great resolution in your laptop, you should definitely opt for retina display option for your MacBook.

Also, the force touch track pad is only available in the retina display counterpart and not present in the MacBook 2015. The retina option also has a higher storage facility available than the MacBook 2015. It also has better graphics.

Both the devices have the same operating systems and their webcam holds the same resolution.

The MacBook with retina display is priced at $ 1,300 while the other one is priced at $ 1,000.
