NASA Boldly Proclaims that No one Can Go to Mars Without its Help; CEO of Space X, Elon Musk Hopes to Defy This Statement

Having come under attack by the Republicans for having devoted way too much time for climate research instead of Space Technology, the prime purpose of its existence, NASA administrator Charles Bolden cleared the air about this diversion in the space giants goals. He went on to add about the interconnection of various NASA goals and that Mars was its topmost priority.   

Furthermore, he has remarked to the National Monitor that studying Mars was imperative to understanding the Earth which in turn was important to understand the mysteries of various other planets. The latest development in this regard have been the studies which indicate that a huge ocean, the size of Artic once adorned the Red Planet's surface which was lost to the space when it stopped generating its own Magnetic Field.

Moreover, according to the reports by Immortal News, Bolden who boasts of almost 680 hours of Space has remarked to the US House Committee on Science, Space and Technology that it is not possible for any commercial company to reach Mars before NASA, that too without NASA and US government's help.

This statement comes in response to the speculation following the statement by CEO of Space X, Elon Musk according to which the company hopes to set foot upon the Martian surface by mid 2020's while NASA has provided the expected time frame to be 2030s.

Furthermore, in addition to the above NASA is planning to send a probe to Europa in addition to pushing an asteroid into the lunar orbit to enable the astronauts to visit it. Moreover, the list includes the launch of James Webb Space telescope, the successor of Hubble Space telescope. The agency is also a major part in several missions to study the climate of the Blue Planet.
