A fresh batch of fossilized dinosaur eggs has been found by construction workers in China. This was a very rare discovery which has left the scientist absolutely stunned. The discovery was made earlier this week with around 43 fossilized eggs at a roadwork site in Heyuan City, which is also known as the home of dinosaurs, states CNN Edition.

This city is known to house the highest collection of dinosaur egg fossils; with around 11,000 eggs found till date. It has also appeared in the Guinness Book of World Record for the same. The curator of a dinosaur museum has reportedly said that 19 of the 43 eggs which were found are in a perfect shape. These eggs were about one foot in diameter, which makes them some of the biggest eggs discovered in the recent time, states The Next Digit. They are round in structure, similar to the structure of a rock.

The eggs have currently been sent to the Vertebrate Paleontology Museum of Royal Ontario, so that correct research can be carried out on them. They researchers will carry out different studies on the eggs which will help them to determine the species of dinosaurs that were fossilized in these eggs. The head curator here, David Evans has said that even though this Chinese city is highly known for the abundance of egg fossils, a fossilized dinosaur egg is considered to be the rarest of rare thing in today's time.

The construction workers single handedly dug and removed these fossilized dinosaur eggs from their place of discovery. In addition to this, it is assumed that these fossilized eggs belong to the duck billed dinosaurs, scientifically known as the oviraptorids.
