Armie Hammer is the fan favorite to take Hal Jordan role in the DC Comics and Warner Brothers "Green Lantern Corps" and he had shown his love for the character. He explained his injury during the SXSW event in Texas.

In an interview with Screen Rant during the SXSW in Austin, Texas Hammer talked about his injury and his desire to play as Hal Jordan in the "Green Lantern" movie. He injured his pectoral muscle when he trained in a sparring session last January. He underwent a surgery and in the recovery process.

“I’m okay now. I’m in physical therapy. I have another month of that,” Hammer said as he was sitting in the Stunt Ranch. When he was asked about the possible role as Hal Jordan in the upcoming movie "Green Lantern Corps" the 30-year-old actor said, "I don’t know if they’re making another one.”

However, Warner Brothers and DC Comics last January was reported by Deadline to start the pre-production of "Green Lantern Corps." They have recruited David Goyer and Justin Rhodes to prepare the script for the movie that will focus on the galaxy law enforcement, which was unified by the same ring they wear.

Goyer is the scriptwriter for the "Dark Knight Series" and "Man of Steel." The 51-year old screenwriter is also the executive producer for "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice." His company Four Banner Production will also produce the "Green Lantern Corps."

The "Green Lantern Corps" movie will focus on the two members of the corps, Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Jordan is a test pilot for the aircraft manufacturing company, while Stewart is the former Marine before he was recruited to join in the corps. Hammer is the fan favorite to play Hal Jordan.
