“It started out on social media, and then progressed to texting. They swore to keep things platonic — yeah right. It’s already escalated to sexting. They’re addicted to each other. The smallest thing can put them right to where they started,” the insider shared. Such report on a sudden reunion between Chris Brown and Rihanna has brought on worries among fans of the “Work” songstress. The spotlight was on the former couple after Chris gave Rihanna a vicious beating hours before their supposed Grammy performance in 2009, as reported by CNN.
Over the past years, both Chris Brown and Rihanna have kept mum on the shocking incident, but fans have been concerned as the “Diamonds” singer have been continually reported to have feelings for her ex. Chris Brown is still faced with a restraining order from an old flame, Karrueche Tran, who accused the “Loyal” singer for, at multiple times, threatening to kill her.
Although Chris Brown and Rihanna have not been spotted together recently nor have they directly spoken to each other on their social media accounts, the singer-turned-actress previously shared her sentiments on her relationship with the 27-year-old singer-dancer.
“I was very protective of him. I felt that people didn’t understand him,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2015. “I don’t hate him. I will care about him until the day I die. We’re not friends, but it’s not like we’re enemies. We don’t have much of a relationship now.”
