William Shatner has encouraged fans not to cast their votes for "Dancing With The Stars" Season 24 contestant Nick Viall. Much to the confusion of some fans and the contestants themselves.

In a series of posts on Twitter, Shatner has made it clear that he is not a fan of the former "Bachelor" star. He tweeted that it's his "goal" to ensure that Viall will be kicked out of "Dancing With The Stars" Season 24 the soonest possible. "Whoever your favorite is - just not Nick - make the 10 phone calls for them. How do we get #BachelorNation to not vote for Nick?" he wrote.

Several fans began to offer various solutions as to how Viall can get kicked out, but Shatner expressed his discontentment and is adamant that the "Dancing With The Stars" Season 24 contestant should be eliminated next week. When one fan question why he has such a dislike for Viall, Shatner simply told the fan to watch Andi Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette." He also tweeted another fan, "He lives up to the homonym of his last name."

Both Viall and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd got word of Shatner's campaign to oust the pair from the competition. Viall responded with a sad face emoji, while Murgatroyd sent him a crying emoji. Shatner responded to the latter's tweet by saying that while he loves her, he cannot bring himself to root for her in "Dancing With The Stars" Season 24, according to ET Online.

Three days later, however, the former "Star Trek" star seems to have extended an olive branch in the form of a peace rose emoji on Twitter to Viall. "As a Dad w/ daughters I'm not happy w/ what you've done in the past Maybe you've matured now?" he tweeted, giving an explanation for his resentment towards the "Dancing With The Stars" Season 24 contestant.

When asked about the feud, Viall admits that he was heartbroken because he is a big fan of Shatner. But hopes that they would be able to mend their differences. "Maybe we will have a cup of coffee one day," the "Dancing With The Stars" Season 24 contestant quipped, according to Just Jared.
