Two veteran high profile players Adrian Peterson and Tony Romo are still unsigned. NFL teams still calculate their value as they have passed their prime, as Peterson finally realize his asking price is too high.

Peterson still unemployed as teams that have an interest in him slowly began to disappear. Previously, He was reported to ask for the maximum contract of $18 million to Minnesota Vikings, the team he has been playing for in his 10 years experience in NFL. The Vikings decided not to sign him because of his asking price.

The 32-year-old player then reduced his asking price by $10 million to $8 million. However, NFL teams consider that to be very high for a slowly fading running back. Finally, as Peterson realized he asked too much as reported by USA Today.

“Finding the best fit & helping a team in a major way win a championship is my main objective!” Peterson tweeted on Friday night March 24. He also tweeted that he is in no rush to sign with any NFL team, and it is not about the money. However, he also declared in his latest tweet that he would not play for less than $8 million.

Another veteran player Romo is also still uncertain with his future. According to the latest report from FOX Sports, there are only two options for the 36-year-old player. Those options are either to leave Dallas Cowboys and join Houston Texans or to retire from the NFL and become TV broadcaster.

CBS and Fox are reported to be interested in hiring Romo, and it seems the best option for him is to retire and sit in the broadcast booth. Moreover, his last two seasons was plagued with injury and did not go very well. Last season, he injured his lower back in the preseason game that made Dallas Cowboys sidelined him for most of the season. Watch the discussion in the ESPN ESPN First Take on Peterson below:
