Despite receiving multiple Grammys and having sold out concerts everywhere she went, Adele finally confirmed her fans biggest nightmare: she won't tour anymore. She made the statement during her final show in New Zealand, telling the crowd this may be her first and last world tour.

The British songstress braved the storm at Mt Smart Stadium, delighting the fans when she came out on stage for her opening number, "Hello". Adele didn't seem to mind getting wet, but when the rain poured heavily she borrowed a poncho from a fan to tide her over during several songs, per New Zealand Herald.

Adele became very emotional and burst into tears when she confessed to the crowd she may never tour again. The only reason she did it was because of their enormous support. She added that her tour was her career's biggest accomplishment, per The Guardian.

Final Curtain Call?

The fans were deeply saddened to realize that Adele's promoter Michael Coppel's warning was legitimate. He's already warned fans when he told the Daily Telegraph that she may never be seen again as touring wasn't for her and may choose never to hit the road anymore. Then again, Coppel added that the future is an open book and that it's hard to predict what's going to happen next.

Adele and the Grammys

Adele has been touring for her Grammy Award Winning Album "25" and it racked up over 7.5 million sales in its first year alone. Unlike Beyonce who streamed "Lemonade" exclusively through tidal during the first few weeks of its release, Adele refused to stream her album for months after it was released in late 2015. It sure looked like it paid off when she won over Beyonce. Her tour just raked 168 million USD compared to Beyonce's 256 million USD, but she was more visible. Adele went on 107 shows compared to Beyonce's 49, per Rolling Stone. Some fans think it would be a shame if this would be the last time she would be seen on stage on tour.
