Will Smith Photographed At 'Fresh Prince' Family Reunion; First Since James Avery Passing

While the "Fresh Prince Of Bel Air" series launched Will Smith's career, the star's recent mini-reunion with his co-stars has given rise to a possible spin-off in the future. Cast members from the 90s series, Alfonso Ribeiro who played the character of Carlton Banks  shared a reunion photo on his official Instagram account.

With many fans hoping actor Will Smith and other cast members would return for a part two, Ribiero teased followers with a photograph of the cast taken in the afternoon. The photo captured the cast in a light-hearted mood, but it was a bittersweet moment as James Avery who plays the father figure of the show as Mr. Banks passed away in 2014, the Mirror reported.

The photograph featured Daphne Maxwell, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Josep Marcell and Will Smith in the center of the group. Ribiero remarked in his Instagram post that he enjoyed spending the afternoon with his "Fresh Prince" family. He added that he wished Avery was there to complete the reunion.

The show celebrated its 20^th anniversary in September 2016 - the day the show's last episode aired,  People reported. Recently Will Smith gave fans a bit of "Fresh Prince" nostalgia when he went bungee jumping in Zimbabwe. The actor who posted the video on social media had many followers comment that he looked very much like Avery's character - Uncle Phil. The actor who was vacationing in Africa said it was a life-long dream to bungee from the Victoria Falls bridge.

While no plans have emerged of a show reunion, it is believed that Will Smith will be returning to the screen with Martin Lawrence for "Bad Boys III." However, in the latest development, Variety reported that director Joe Carnahan for the film has dropped out owing to a conflict in schedules. The film according to the publication is to be released in November 2018.
