'Outlander' Season 3 Star Caitriona Balfe Speaks Out On Mike Pence Refusing To Eat Alone With Women

Caitriona Balfe certainly plays a strong, independent woman in the TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" novels. However, it looks like the "Money Monster" star is a lot like Claire Randall Fraser in real life. Sam Heughan's "Outlander" Season 3 costar has spoken up about vice president Mike Pence's decision not to dine alone with women.

The Guardian recently wrote about Mike Pence basically stating that someone married shouldn't have dinner alone with a person of the opposite sex. According to the report, Pence had said that the only acceptable occasion would be when you are "planning your spouse’s surprise party or funeral and that is it." The statement certainly caused a reaction among women, especially Caitriona Balfe of "Outlander" Season 3.

Caitriona Balfe had recently tweeted about Mike Pence's stand on dining alone with women. Fans immediately reacted to the post, and the "Outlander" Season 3 star made sure to make her opinion heard on Twitter.

It is certainly refreshing to see Caitriona Balfe share her opinion on Mike Pence's decision despite being very busy working on her TV series. The "Outlander" Season 3 actress is currently in South Africa where she is filming scenes with Sam Heughan, who plays her husband Jamie Fraser.

The "Outlander" Season 3 air date has not yet been announced. However, fans can expect to see Caitriona Balfe once again when the show airs on Starz this September.
