DC Comics is Keeping the 'Wonder Woman' Movie Sequel a Secret

DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and director Patty Jenkins appeared during Warner Brothers panel at WonderCon last Saturday, April 1. They spoke about the upcoming movie but did not reveal the sequel of "Wonder Woman" to the audience.

Johns and Jenkins talked about the upcoming movie to the audience that packed the arena at Anaheim Convention Center. The audience in the annual comic book convention were looking forward to the new footage of "Wonder Woman," which is scheduled to release on June 2, as reported by Los Angeles Times. Johns, who is also the scriptwriter for the movie, told about the transformation from Diana, prince of Themyscira to become the most beloved superheroine. While Jenkins shared her views about the thing that makes Wonder Woman as a unique character in the DC Universe.

“She’s not the only character who has a strong moral compass and a belief system, of course," Jenkins said. Explaining the true character of "Wonder Woman" and her belief in human kind. Miss Jenkins added, "She’s one of the very few who believes in goodness and kindness and justice and love."

As the audience wondered about the next movie of her, Johns replied that he could not confirm of the sequel as reported by Comic Book. It seems that his answer was not a definitive answer, especially "Wonder Woman" is one of the most highly anticipated superhero movies in 2017. Therefore, DC Comics and Warner Brothers surely want to keep the fans interested and wait for more update.

"Wonder Woman" will begin from the very beginning of her story, starting when she was trained to become the warrior in her homeland, the island nation of Themyscira. She later meets the American pilot Steve Trevor who informs her of the World War I, that makes her leaving Themyscira to help end the war.
