The drama surrounding the quarterback Tony Romo ended on Tuesday, April 3, after Dallas Cowboys released him. He will now pursue his new career as the broadcaster for CBS.

Following his release from Dallas Cowboys, CBS immediately signed Romo as reported by USA Today. He will be paired with Jim Nantz, the main host for CBS and NFL program. Romo will be the lead analyst for CBS football broadcasts.

The Romo drama began when Dallas Cowboys acquired two other quarterbacks Kellen Moore and Dak Prescott beside him. With two young quarterbacks, Dallas Cowboys sent the signal to Romo that the team will release him. Romo then looked for other teams to continue his playing career. His target is Houston Texans.

However, after many thoughtful considerations, Romo decided to resign from the league as a player. He decided to become a broadcaster, as two networks CBS and Fox are interested in bringing him on board. According to ESPN, he took the decision because the offer from CBS is very interesting.

"It really had nothing to do with the Texans and everything to do with CBS," Romo said explaining his decision. He also explained the decision is a very difficult one as he still wanted to play and Houston Texans needs him as the quarterback.

During his career, Romo is the quarterback who specializes in the crunch time at the final minutes of the 4th quarter. He is known as the clutch quarterback because he has the highest passing rate among the NFL quarterbacks.

Romo is the true representation of a player who climbs his career from nothing. He went undrafted 2003 NFL Draft after he graduated from Eastern Illinois University. Dallas Cowboys signed him as free agent and he spent two years as a holder before he became the main quarterback for Cowboys since 2006 season and delivered great passes in the games.
