'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 2 Ends Triumphantly, Marc Guggenheim Promise a More Interesting New Season

Following "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 finale last Tuesday, April 4, the series creator and executive producer Marc Guggenheim promised a more interesting story in the Season 3. However, the finale has made some fans upset as the time traveler Rip Hunter may leave the show for good.

In an exclusive interview with IGN, Guggenheim said the writers have prepared more interesting new season after "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 ended last Tuesday. He also hinted the fans that a complicated relationship between two supervillains Captain Cold and Heat Wave will initiate an interesting conflict.

"We thought it would be fun to break our cardinal rule ourselves," Guggenheim said regarding the breaking of a major rule in the "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. He pointed that the characters returned to the event in World War I to fix the problem in Episode 15 "Fellowship of the Spears." In Episode 17 "Aruba," the Legends traveled back to the battle of Somme in 1916 to get the Spear of Destiny before Legion could use it.

However, fans are angry with the possibility of Rip Hunter leave the show for good as reported by Digital Spy. In the "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 finale, Rip told Sara to take care of the Legends as he left the team for the second time and he said that he already taught her everything, so the team would not need him. Sara Lance, the White Canary who is also a character from "Arrow" is now leading the team of Legends and become the captain of the Waverider toward the Season 3.

The final episode of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger. When the Legends went to Aruba in 2017 but landed in Los Angeles. While as the result of their interference with time continuum, the Los Angeles in 2017 is now full with dinosaurs. Watch the trailer of "Aruba" episode below:
