Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were once Hollywood "It" couple, but just like most of the celebrity relationships, the "High School Musical" stars' very pubic relationship also headed to Splitsville. Now that Disney announced that "High School Musical 4" is definitely happening, many are wondering as to how the former couple will handle the situation.

ZaNessa shippers are still obviously hoping for Zac Efron (Troy Bolton) and Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez) to rekindle their on-and-off screen romance in "High School Musical 4." Unfortunately for their fans, the 28-year-old singer and actress is still very much taken by Austin Butler. Now that the exes have clearly moved on from their "HSM" romance, it is quite interesting as to how will Disney deal with their breakup. Are they still going to be a couple in "HSM 4?" Or will the company use their real-life situation and end Troy and Gabriella's relationship as well.

While people are still curious as to what will happen to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens in "High School Musical 4," it seems that the "Spring Breakers" actress is not really that open to be a part of the fourth installment. Austin Butler's girlfriend revealed to E! News exclusively that she is still not ready to play an older character just yet which is expected in "HSM 4."

"I mean, I'm 28," Vanessa Hudgens said. "I could be a teacher, but I refuse to be a teacher! I'm still a teenager at heart. So probably not with me, but I'm excited to see what they whip together." Although the chance of her reprising her role in "High School Musical 4" is getting slimmer, she did give an advice for the new cast. "Just have fun. We were just kids running around having fun."

As if that's not enough bad news for their fans, Vanessa Hudgens has previously revealed to Access Hollywood Live that she and her former "High School Musical" co-star and ex are not in speaking terms anymore. "Oh yeah no, that's not a thing that happens. No, I completely lost contact with him." It seems like ZaNessa is officially over!
