Former Nickelodeon star Jamie Lynn Spears is returning to the lime light. The 21-year-old single mom isn't looking to get back in front of the camera, but she may be trying to follow in famous sister Britney Spears' footsteps. On Thursday night Jamie Lynn took the stage of Nashville, Tennessee's 3rd and Lindsley Bar and Grill to sing a powerful country ballad.

With long blonde hair the youngest Spears looked just like her older sister as she belted out her new tune that almost immediately hit the Internet.

"The next song is called, 'I Look Up to You,'" Us Magazine reports Jamie Lynn announced to the audience. "You can imagine who I wrote it about. I hope y'all like it a lot."

"I Look Up To You," featured lyrics like, "Scared little girl living in a big old world. You've outgrown your room, it all happened way to soon. They took away your innocence. We forgot our strong defense."

Big sister Britney, who is currently working as a judge on "The X Factor," has yet to comment on the new song, but it's probably safe to say that Jamie Lynn's daughter, Maddie, is a fan. Maddie, now 3, was born when Jamie Lynn was only 17. The mom recently shared a photo of the two having fun at the pool over Memorial Day Weekend.
