Olympic snowboarder Shaun White has been photographed on numerous occasions smiling and holding up his medals, but a photo taken this past Sunday showed the athlete with a somber face. White was arrested in Nashville for vandalism and public intoxication.

People.com reported that the Olympic gold medalist was in Nashville for musician Patrick Carney's wedding. According to a guest, White had been "friendly and nice to everyone," but around 2 a.m. Sunday morning, that all seemed to change.

TMZ reported that the Olympic snowboarder was "raising hell" at his Nashville hotel. Reports from the Nashville Metro Police Department state that White was staying at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel Saturday evening, and started causing trouble around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The trouble included pulling a fire alarm that resulted in the evacuation of the hotel, a smashed hotel phone and a pretty nasty fall.

White, 26, reportedly tried to flee the scene but was stopped by a "concerned citizen," who he ended up kicking. The snowboarder continued to run, falling and hitting his head against a fence. White came out of the whole ordeal with a blood-shot eye and bruise below his left eye.

Police revealed that White appeared to be extremely intoxicated and "smelled strongly of alcohol." He was taken to a local hospital after his drunken rampage where he was booked for vandalism and public intoxication. According to USA Today, the snowboarder refused to sign misdemeanor citations.

This isn't Shaun White's first run-in with the law. In 2007, White, who was 21-years-old at the time, faced misdemeanor charges for setting off a fire extinguisher at a Colorado ski resort. Reports from the 2007 incident state that the snowboarder smelled of alcohol.
