Billie Joe Armstrong, 40, has checked himself into rehab for substance abuse.

The news comes after the "Green Day" frontman had a complete meltdown onstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday.

After being told to wrap up his performance at the MGM Grand Theater, the rocker proceeded to hurl a series of obscenities towards producers, smashing his guitar in the process.

"You're gonna give me one minute?!" he shouted. "I've been around since f-ing nineteen eighty f-king eight, and you're gonna give me one minute?! You've gotta be f-ing kidding me!"

"I'm not f-ing  Justin Beiber, you motherf-ers!" he continued. "Let me show you what one f-ing minute f-ing means."

The incident quickly went viral.

Green Day's forthcoming album "Uno" will be released Sept. 25., meanwhile, the rest of the band has cancelled upcoming promotional appearances while Armstrong recovers.

"Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is seeking treatment for substance abuse," his rep said in a released statement. "Green Day would like everyone to know that their set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. The band regretfully must postpone some of their upcoming promotional appearances."

Earlier this month, the band was forced to cancel a concert in Italy because Armstrong was hospitalized for an undisclosed illness.

"We're beyond upset," drummer Tre Cool said about missing the concert. "We're as sad as you guys are. Billie is extremely upset about it."

Armstrong has a penchant for getting naked during his performances and has even been arrested for the act. "I used to do it a lot right after Dookie came out." He said in an interview with NPR. " I was arrested for it in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I did it at Madison Square Garden, 'cause I didn't know if I was ever going to play Madison Square Garden again, so I said, well, there's one way to remember this occasion - to be the guy who was naked on stage at Madison Square Garden. And then it came down to a point where everywhere we played, the cops started showing up and started saying, 'If this guy gets naked on stage, he's going to be arrested immediately.' And sure enough, it happened eventually in Milwaukee."
