CSI Star Bankruptcy: Gary Dourdan In Dire Financial Straits

By Amir Khan | Nov 13, 2012 02:40 PM EST

Gary Dourdan has filed for bankruptcy, and the CSI Star's Bankruptcy filing alleges that the actor is completely broke. Dourdan filed for bankruptcy in August, according to TMZ, and has $1.8 million in assets, but owes $1.73 million in debts. The majority of the debt is owed to the various banks that control his mortgage.

Gary Dourdan, who has been as CSI star for eight seasons, reportedly has a monthly disposable income of only $321, according to the Huffington Post. He allegedly makes $14,883 per month, but $14,562 goes to bills, according to court filings.

The CSI star's bankruptcy stopped Wells Fargo from putting his home up for auction.

This isn't the CSI star's first instance of financial issues or legal issues. In 2010, Dourdan was sued over credit card debt, and last November, the CSI star was arrested on felony battery charges for allegedly breaking his girlfriend's nose. In June 2011, Dourdan was also arrested for drug possession.

While the actor is currently broke, he anticipates "major acting roles" in the future, which can help him pay off his debt, TMZ reports.
