Lady Gaga Asks Fans To Stop Online Threats

Lady Gaga urged her fans to stop with their online threats.

On Monday, the Applause singer tweeted a link to her website. It led to her Born This Way Foundation's Tumblr page. She asked that her supporters, known as little monsters, cease from sending threats on her behalf. Some of her fans have been threatening to harm blogger Perez Hilton.

"Sending threats of any kind, using hateful or abusive language, and the provoking of others on the Internet is not supported by me or anything that I stand for," she wrote.

Gaga added that she understood why her fans would get riled up and eager to defend her honor. However, she asked them to use their time to focus on positivity rather than threats.

"We are stronger than this. We know what we stand for, and what we stand for is bravery. I know this because what I see on the Internet is not what I see at my shows," she wrote.

Over the weekend, Gaga accused Perez Hilton on stalking and harassing her. She also said that Hilton was looking for an apartment to rent in her building. Hilton released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and denied any inappropriate behavior towards his former friend.

"While it is still too painful for me to go into detail about why I chose to no longer make her a part of my life, I will say that I am a critic and not a stalker. Any allegation that I am stalking her is utterly false, defamatory and now appear to be putting me in danger," Hilton said.
