'Young and the Restless' News: Michael Muhney Fired
Michael Muhney has been fired from the Young and the Restless.
The Emmy award nominated actor took to Twitter on Tuesday and announced to fans that he would be leaving the role of Adam Newman on the popular CBS soap opera. He has played the part since 2009.
I'm so sorry. It breaks my heart to say this, but I was just let go from Y&R. My last day on set is this Thursday.

Fans took to Twitter and protested the move. Many promised to never again watch the show. CBS has not yet commented on his release but reportedly, the role will be recast.
