Zac Efron Has Been Sober for Six Months as He wears Sobriety Chip From AA Post-Rehab

2013 was not a good year for Zac Efron. However, it looks like he's on the path to recovery.

It looks like he's winning in his battle against his alleged drug and alcohol addiction as he was seen with a blue AA sobriety chip around his neck at a Lakers game on December 20, Us Weekly reported.

The blue medallion- which the former High School Musical star wore as a pendant- is traditionally given out by Alcoholics Anonymous groups to members who have achieved six months of constant sobriety. The actor reportedly went to rehab twice earlier this year. He had completed his rehab in April 2013.

In November, he broke his jaw after slipping in a puddle at home. However, many people speculated that the incident might be related to a relapse. Efron seems to be sending a message to his fans and to everyone that he's sober and will continue to be sober.

His next movie, That Awkward Moment, hits theaters on January 31.
