Ke$ha announced on Friday that she would be entering a rehab center to address an eating disorder. The "Crazy Kids" singer released a brief statement regarding her decision but chose to keep the reason behind the eating disorder to herself. However, fans are now finding out new details about what led up to Ke$ha's rehab stay.

According to a Jan. 4 report by TMZ, Ke$ha has been telling friends that her eating disorder was caused by her music producer Dr. Luke.

Sources tell TMZ that Ke$ha's weight was a topic of discussion for Dr. Luke, who has also worked with Kelly Clarkson, Pink, and Katy Perry, and at one point, he even called her a "big, fat refrigerator."

"Sources directly connected to Ke$ha tell us it all started when the singer's 'Get Sleazy' tour ended in 2011," the site reported. "She says Luke -- who signed Ke$ha to a deal at age 18 -- started ragging on her over the extra lbs she had gained in her downtime."

The source explained that following the tour, Dr. Luke began calling "fat" and urged her management to do something about it. Following Dr. Luke's harsh criticisms, Ke$ha was reportedly profoundly impacted and now, she's in rehab for 30 days.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," Ke$ha told fans as she entered treatment. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."
