Chris Brown will reportedly be released from prison in the next several days.

Although Brown was sentenced to remain behind bars until next month's hearing for his Washington, D.C. assault case, Brown has found his loophole and will reportedly pay off his victim, putting a close to the case entirely.

"Chris' lawyer, Mark Geragos, has contacted the lawyer for the man who claims Chris assaulted him in D.C., breaking his nose, and offered him a BIG FAT CHECK," TMZ reported on March 20.

Currently, Brown is behind bars awaiting the D.C. assault trial, which will determine whether or not he'll be spending several years behind bars. Since Brown was on probation, stemming from his Feb. 2009 assault on Rihanna, at the time the D.C. incident occurred (Oct. 27, 2013), he will be in violation if he is found guilty and sentenced to a reported four years.

TMZ has been informed that Geragos is eyeing a civil settlement, which will likely mean the victim will drop his case against Brown after recieving a payout, thus cancelling the trial and any pending charges against Brown.

According to the report, Geragos may have already sealed the deal with the victim, but if he hasn't yet, it will likely take place in the next day or two, which will result in Brown being released from jail by early next week.

While the payout amount hasn't yet been confirmed, TMZ reported it will likely be in the hundreds of thousands.
