Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have welcomed a set of twins into their family.

On Thursday, the Thor actor's wife of three years gave birth to twins, bringing their family total to a party of five.

According to TMZ, Hemsworth and Pataky checked into the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on March 20. The birth was considered high-security and two bodyguards were seen guarding their suite. On Friday, a rep for the couple confirmed to Us Weekly that Pataky had given birth to twins.

Hemsworth and Pataky began dating in early 2010 after being set up by their mutual representatives. In Dec. 2010, they were married, and two years later, they welcomed their first child, daughter India Rose.

Hemsworth and Pataky first announced they were expecting for a second time in Nov. 2013. Two months later, it was revealed there was not just one, but two babies.

In an Oct. 2013 interview with Parade Magazine, Hemsworth was asked how people would describe him as a father.

"Hopefully a good one!" he responded. "My wife thinks I am. I love it. It's the greatest thing I've ever been a part of. When I am at work, she's what I'm thinking about, and when I'm not at work, she's who I'm hanging out with!"

"I think [parenthood] brings out the child in all of us," he adds. "That's what's so beautiful. It reminds you of the fascination you had with things, and how you can spend hours just being with someone. It's amazing."
