Avicii was hospitalized last night in Miami, causing him to miss his scheduled concert.

Avicii was scheduled to take the stage at the SLS Hotel on Thursday night, but hours prior to the show, it was announced that he was in the hospital.

"Avicii was supposed to do a show at Hyde Beach at the SLS Hotel in Miami Beach ... but less than an hour ago DJ Cassette told the crowd he was in a hospital," TMZ reported around 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 27.

TMZ sources claimed Avicii was expected to perform just hours before he was hospitalized.

In a site update around 6:30 p.m., TMZ revealed Avicii had been discharged from the hospital "a little while ago." Sources also confirmed that Avicii was no longer staying at the SLS Hotel -- which was temporarily re-named Avicii Hotel in honor of his highly anticipated gig.

In the early hours of the morning, blogger Nik Richie took to Twitter where he appeared to shed some light on the situation.

"What's the real word on alleged @Avicii overdose? People are texting me Heroin and the @SLSMiami has kicked him and his crew out of hotel," he wrote, later adding, "Both @Avicii and @djafrojack hospitalized tonight. Waiting for DJ @ParisHilton to fake an overdose to fit in."

After falling off the stage during his set on Wednesday, DJ Afrojack was also hospitalized, which he claimed was for dehydration.

Earlier this month, Avicii hit the recording studio with Madonna, who posted a couple photos from their session on her Instagram account.

”The End of a long week with Viking Leader AKA DJ Virgo AKA Avicii! So many great songs!” she wrote with the first photo. Along with the second, which featured a couple of other people, Madonna said, “My Viking Harem! Great Music Great Vibes! We were grinding on that. Wood!”
