Jamie Lynn Spears is following in her sister's footsteps and taking her advice along the way.

While sister Britney tends to her Las Vegas show, the younger Spears talent is releasing new music in hopes of becoming the next country music superstar, and her latest release, How Could I Want More could be the song that takes her there.

"I worked on this project for a really long time," Spears said on the red carpet at Sunday night's Academy of Country Music Awards live pre-show of the project. "The single means a lot to me, and I was finally brave enough to put it out there."

In Dec. 2013, Spears opened up about the song in an interview with MTV, explaining that the song was about her relationship with her now-husband, Jamie Watson, whom she married on March 14, 2014.

During the interview, Spears explained that the song was written during a brief breakup the pair went through after she had moved to Nashville to focus on her career and her daughter, five-year-old Maddie.

On her own latest album, Britney Jean, Britney also dug deep, which was even more of a reason for Spears to follow her lead and go down the same route.

"Your sister is always someone you're going to look up to," Spears added. "We're in the same kind of industry but different genres, so definitely it's good to take her advice."
