Eva Longoria is revealing how she stays in shape while on the go.

These days, between her producing gigs and philanthropy work, Longoria has a hectic schedule, but the former Desperate Housewives star isn't letting that get in the way of her fitness regimen.

"I'm a runner. I don't need a gym, I'll go run anywhere. I was in Australia, Budapest and Paris," Longoria explained to E! News in an April 26 interview. "In Australia and I went running around the botanical gardens and when I got to Paris I ran around the Eiffel tower, and when I was in Budapest I ran around their little medieval section passing the castle."

Although Longoria continues to act, most recently filming Frontera, which will be released later this year, her real passion lies in producing and helping others through her philanthropy work.

Since 2006, Longoria has participated in many charity events and fundraisers, including Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, OmniPeace, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Stroke Association, Project HOME and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She also founded Eva's Heroes, a charity which helps developmentally disabled children.

In 2009, Longoria was named Philantropist of the Year by The Hollywood Reporter.

All the while, Longoria has continued to care for herself and maintain her healthy frame.

"[Running is] truly one of the best forms of exercising and the best thing to do while traveling because you get to sight-see," Longoria explained. "I'm running I was really standing under the Eiffel tower at seven in the morning going ‘this is so cool!'"
