Bret Michaels reportedly left the stage mid-show during a concert on Thursday night in Manchester, N.H.

Just three songs into the performance, Michaels was rushed off stage for what was being called a "medical emergency." A short time later, Michaels' guitarist, Pete Evick, shared details of the scary incident with fans.

"Tonight in Manchester, NH 3 songs into the set Bret had me sing a song as he rushed off stage," Evick wrote on Facebook. "In the 9 years I've stood next to him, I've never seen a look like the one on his face as if I was a complete stranger. One of the crew returned instantly to notify me that Bret's blood sugar was extremely low."

According to Evick, Michaels, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age six, eventually returned to the stage, but only to inform his fans that he was unable to continue the show.

After the show was over, Evick rushed to Michaels' tour bus where he found the rocker, who was "barely" able to speak, but made it a point to request that Evick send out an apology to the fans.

While Michaels has yet to release a statement himself, his team posted a message on Twitter this morning, thanking the paramedics for their quick care.

It read, "Sending a shout out 2 all the paramedics both on & off duty who assisted Bret tonight. No words can thank you enough for ur help."

Tonight, May 30, Michaels is expected to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
