Nicki Minaj won BET's Best Female Hip Hop Artist award for the fifth time last Sunday, deepening her mark in the music business. But she's also had an undeniable influence in fashion, even when she "tones it down," she adds spice to a natural look.

On Sunday, Minaj posted an Instagram photo wearing a Christopher Kane blue snakeskin print dress. Even though she posed with DJ Cosmic Kev and only part of the dress could be seen in the photo, she still brought Va Va Voom.

Minaj's fun and vivacious styles Pound the Alarm, especially when she incorporates costume elements and brightly colored hair-her signature look.

On the cover of the June/July 2013 edition of Teen Vogue, Minaj wore a pale blue tutu and a Vivienne Westwood corset decorated with glimmering embellishments. Underneath the hot pink corset, she wore a white long-sleeved lace top designed by Chris Benz.

She described her style as "euphoric, girly, and powerful" to Teen Vogue, which is exactly what the toy company Mattel channeled when it created the Nicki Minaji Barbie in 2011. The one-of-a-kind doll wore pink tulle and diamonds.

Minaj shared her excitement to Billboard, referring to the Project Angel Food charity auction of the doll as a "major moment."

The Nicki Minaj Collection launched last fall through Kmart, showcasing fitted dresses and bright crop tops, representing her "Harajuku Barbie" fashion.

There were concerns if Minaj's barbz (fans) could rock the daring looks, as the Huffington Post described in the headline: "Nicki Minaj Kmart Clothing Line Is Crazier Than We Expected."

A month after the unveiling of the clothing line, the editors of The Cut decided to test out the vibrant apparel. They were surprised by how flattering the garments looked on their bodies.

"The fabrics were stretchy and forgiving, the pants were butt-boosting, and the silhouettes were generally kind," wrote editor Charlotte Cowles in the introduction.

But whether or not you want to rock Minaj inspired looks, there's no doubt that her style causes a fashion statement. Check out some of Nicki Minaj's memorable wardrobe!
