Shia LaBeouf may not be in rehab but he is seeking treatment for his alcohol issues.

Following his weekend arrest, reports claimed LaBeouf had entered rehab, and although there is no truth to the rumor of rehab, the actor is receiving help for his alcoholism.

"Contrary to previous erroneous reports, Shia LaBeouf has not checked into a rehabilitation facility but he is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction," LaBeouf's rep said in a statement to Us Weekly on July 1. "He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery."

On Thurs., June 26, LaBeouf was arrested at New York City's Studio 54 theater after he allegedly caused a disturbance during a performance of the Broadway show Cabaret. According to reports, LaBeouf was harassing audience members, as well as the actors on stage, and chain smoking during the play, in which Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming star.

LaBeouf was later charged with one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree, one count of Trespass, two counts of Disorderly Conduct and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree.

Following LaBeouf's arrest, it was reported that the actor had spat at police and gone on a rant, asking them if they knew who he was.

"F--k you. This is f--king bullshit. Do you know my life?" he reportedly asked. "Do you know who the f--k I am? Do you know who I am?"

On Tuesday, July 1, LaBeouf was seen in Los Angeles, carrying an Alcoholics Anonymous book.
