LuAnn de Lesseps is reportedly not getting paid for her work on The Real Housewives of New York City.

Ahead of what some have said will be the last season of the Bravo series, longtime star de Lesseps is said to be filming the show for free.

LuAnn de Lesseps “is not getting paid this season,” a source claimed to Radar Online on July 7. “She had to suck it up because they wanted her back, but didn’t want pay her. She just wasn’t bringing it. This year she got fearful so she threw Sonja under the bus.”

Ahead of filming on the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New York City, it was revealed that although de Lesseps would be returning to the series for her sixth year, she would not be returning to her role of official housewife. Instead, she would star solely as a friend of the housewives, meaning she wouldn't be seen on the show quite as much.

At the time of de Lesseps' downgrade, she told E! News it was her decision to film the show less in order to "spend more time doing my things with business and my family."

As for the upcoming seventh season of the show, which has yet to be confirmed, Radar's source claims there's bound to be a few cast shakeups. However, at this point, no firings have been made.

“Every year they say people will be fired. They’ll put that out in the news because they always need new girls,” the insider explained.
