Sonja Morgan Fake Scene: 'RHONY' Star Denies Promise Ring Set-Up

Sonja Morgan claims she did not participate in a set-up on The Real Housewives of New York City.

After last week's episode, Morgan faced allegations of having staged a moment with Harry Dubin, the ex-husband of her co-star Aviva Drescher. However, according to Morgan, her scene with Dubin was completely honest.

“There’s nothing fake about Harry Dubin,” Morgan told Radar Online on July 21. “Harry genuinely spoke from his heart and said he wants to commit. He also said that this was not THE ring — he was going to have another one made and that it was not an engagement ring, but it was a gesture to let me know how much he loves and cares for me.”

During the July 15 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Dubin presented Morgan with a promise ring and told her he wanted to take their relationship to the next level. Days later, an Us Weekly report claimed the entire thing was a set-up -- and alleged that Morgan's best friend and co-star, Ramona Singer, gave Dubin the ring (which reportedly belonged to her mother-in-law) to use.

Despite the report, Morgan claims her relationship with Dubin is very real -- and has been for some time.

“Harry has been talking about committing with me for some time now, since his relationship of three or four years ended about a year ago,” she said. “You would have to be blind to not see how much Harry loves me and I love Harry.”

While Morgan and Dubin may have a solid relationship, Us Weekly's source revealed last week that they are no longer romantic.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
