'Guardians of The Galaxy' "Groot" Vin Diesel Dishes On Friendship with Kelly Ripa

The Guardians of the Galaxy has become a box-office hit and Vin Diesel is a part of the star-studded cast, playing Groot--the tree that kicks butt.

Last week, Diesel visited Live with Kelly & Michael, and shared about his former Fast and the Furious costar, Paul Walker, who died in a car accident last year.

"When you go into these action sequences, you put yourself in harm's way in kind of an unfair fashion," said Diesel on the show, reported ABC News.

Diesel also talked about his pre-Hollywood bouncer days, revealing that a club he worked at allowed him to organize a party, which Kelly Ripa was invited to.

Ripa and Diesel then reminisced about the fun party and watched a video of Diesel from the 80's.

"Let me just tell you, you look so much better without hair," Ripa laughed after the nostalgic clip.

Diesel spent most of his 20s auditioning for roles and supporting himself by working as a bouncer. That bouncer gig even led to his name change from Mark Sinclair, according to a report by The Guardian.

Even though it's no surprise he was a bouncer (look at that buff physique), Diesel shared with The Guardian that "Groot" is the character who is most similar to his personality.

Does that mean Diesel is a sweetie?

"To maintain your innocence is a feat. So much magic comes from it," Diesel explained.

Guardians of The Galaxy is currently in theaters.
