Jonah Hill has reportedly gained 70 pounds.

According to sources close to the 30-year-old actor, Hill has completely let himself go and it has allegedly gotten so bad that his friends fear his situation could take a deadly turn.

“Jonah is eating again with reckless abandon,” a friend of Hill's told The National Enquirer, via an Aug. 21 report by Life & Style. “He is a brilliant comedic actor with decades ahead of him, but he has to get a handle on his health before he faces deadly consequences.”

In July 2011, following appearances in Superbad, Accepted and Get Him To The Greek, Hill debuted a slimmed-down look at the ESPY Awards and was estimated to have lost around 40 pounds. Months prior, Us Weekly revealed Hill planned to drop at least 30 pounds for his role in the upcoming film, 21 Jump Street, which was released in 2012 (a sequel to the film, 22 Jump Street, was released in June 2014).

In Sept. 2011, Hill opened up about his weight loss, telling New York Magazine the transformation was the result of growing up and gaining maturity. According to the actor, he had been drinking beer and smoking weed when he began acting, but once he started taking his career seriously, he kicked his bad habits and began eating healthier foods (one report claimed he was following the Atkins diet in 2012).

Unfortunately, his bad habits appear to have returned.

"This past year, it has all come back and more and in recent months, Jonah is ballooning out of control," the source added.
