Dolly Parton has always been an outspoken advocate for the LGBT community, and now she's taking her support to the stage.

In a recent interview, Parton revealed plans to release an album, which she claims is "very positive towards the gay community." The album will be titled Just a Wee Bit Gay.

"It's a great little dance tune, it's funny and it's got a lot of comic in it," Parton told Rolling Stone magazine on July 15. "I do write a lot of songs along those lines with people that are different and are just themselves."

The 68-year-old country star admitted the album idea had been brewing in her mind for several years now, and was prompted by a techno remix to her classic song 9 to 5.

Parton spoke with Event, a UK-based magazine, about same-sex marriage, reported Rolling Stone.

"I don't want to be controversial or stir up a bunch of trouble, but people are going to love who they are going to love. I think gay couples should be allowed to marry. They should suffer like us heterosexuals," she said.

It's funny that the Queen of Controversy says she doesn't want to be controversial... Just look at her ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video, posted yesterday, Aug. 28!

"This was not on my bucket list, if you'll pardon the expression. A lot of people challenged me," Parton explained "Kenny Rogers dared me. Kenny said, 'You'll never do it with your false hair, your false eyelashes and your false nails.' Kenny, you'd be surprised what all I do with my falses for a good cause and a good laugh."

Before the ice water was dumped onto her head, Parton removed her earrings, pink scarf and plastic shoes, telling viewers, "They're plastic, but then again, so is the rest of me - but that's besides the point."

After being soaked, Parton said, "Yes, I have on a bra. Kenny, you have to pay extra for the wet t-shirt contest."

Parton wrapped up her Blue Smoke World Tour last month, which was deemed a success. During the tour, Parton performed 47 shows in three different continents.
