Leah Calvert's daughter, Ali, recently received the wheelchair she's been needing.

On Teen Mom 2, fans have watched as Calvert and her ex-husband, feuded over the insurance claim for the chair. Luckily, the claim has since been approved, and now, Ali has the pink chair she'd been waiting for.

"THANK YOU! to @PermobilUSA @GoNumotion @nationwidechild & Dr.Tsao for all you do for Ali & other children," Calvert wrote on Twitter, along with the first photo of Ali and her chair. Also in the photo were several doctors, as well as Calvert's mom, Dawn Spears.

Leah Calvert's Daughter Says She's "Not Strong"

After her birth, Calvert and Simms knew something was wrong with their daughter, Ali, but it wasn't until Jan. 2014 that they discovered what it was. Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Calvert opened up about Ali's diagnosis, revealing it was both rare and incurable.

“The disorder affects her respiratory system and progresses the older she gets,” Calvert explained at the time. “The bigger she gets and the more weight she gains, the harder it’ll be for her muscles to carry the weight.”

Because of her muscle strain, doctors let Calvert and Simms know their daughter would eventually need a wheelchair, which, for Calvert, meant she would need to purchase a new, handicap-accessible home. It also meant getting her a wheelchair as soon as possible was key.

Unfortunately, many fans have criticised Calvert's decision to put Ali in a wheelchair when she is still young. On Twitter, Calvert responded to her fans' reaction.

"I'm not sure anyone knows the seriousness of MD....Before assumptions on the wheelchair READ about Ali's disease," she told fans. "Titan Gene MD that's just one part Over working the muscle causes MORE damage."
