Molly Glynn tragically lost her life this week after a tree fell on her during a bike ride through Chicago.

According to report, Glynn was riding her bike with husband, Joe Foust, when a tree fell on top of her during a fast-moving storm in Chicago's Erickson Woods.

"Molly had called out to her husband, who was ahead of her, to seek shelter just seconds before the tree uprooted and crashed into her," Life & Style reported on Sept. 8. "She had been wearing a helmet, but it wasn’t enough to save her. She was pronounced dead in Evanston NorthShore Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 6, after sustaining injuries from the tragic accident."

Glynn was a successful theater actress in Chicago and also played a recurring role on NBC's Chicago Fire.

Following the devastating turn of events, Foust shared a heartbreaking message on Facebook. It read, "I couldn't save her. I couldn't save her. She's gone."

On Sept. 7, Foust shared another message with fans on Facebook. "Preparing to say final goodbye before she goes off to surgery to donate her organs," he wrote. "I know it's just a shell now, but I've grown used to the comfort of her body here in this room."

Foust's Facebook message included a photo of Foust showing off his hand, on which he was wearing both his wedding ring, on his ring finger, and Glynn's wedding ring, on his pinky.

After Glynn's death, friends of the family started a campaign on Giveforward to raise funds for Foust and their kids, Chance, 17, and Declan, 13. So far, $132,170 has been raised for the family.
