Nev Schulman is responding to a report claiming he assaulted a woman.

This week, a report surfaced, alleging the Catfish host had punched a woman during his junior year at Sarah Lawrence College in 2006.

“Nev stuck his camera in the face of two girls kissing and was sort of taking a picture and she shoved the camera away. He was very angry about this and he just decks her,” a source told Page Six.

Prior to the report, and shortly after the recent Ray Rice scandal hit the web on Monday, Schulman spoke out against domestic violence. On Twitter, the MTV reality star wrote, "Cowards make me sick. Real men show strength through patience & honor. This elevator is abuse free." After being met with criticism regarding his possible hypocrisy, Schulman removed the post and later told fans that he had shared the message to "raise awareness."

Following Page Six's report, Schulman spoke out in his own defense, explaining the situation in a statement.

“In college, I was in a situation where I was forced to defend myself, after being suddenly attacked," he explained. "Charges were brought, but my case was almost immediately dismissed as this was clearly a case of self-defense. My post was meant to raise awareness and support for everyone affected by the awful abuses of domestic violence.”

Still, Page Six's source claims Schulman was the guilty party.

“There’s Nev’s version, which to be honest, I think is bulls—t … He f—king hit her. He sort off winded up and boom.”
