Big Sean Opens Up, Says Ariana Grande Is "Very Special" To Him

According to a new report, Grande's parents aren't on board with her reported new romance with Big Sean, and feel he isn't right for their daughter.

"Her parents think Big Sean is a good kid, but they're not sure he's the right fit. They worry that because he's a rapper he mixes with a bad crowd," a source told OK! Magazine, via an Oct. 6 report by Contact Music, adding Grande "told them they have no right to judge Big Sean like that."

Whether the rapper is a bad influence on Grande or not, the new couple seem to be all smiles whenever they are spotted together. They were first exposed to the public after being caught holding hands at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

The news of their courtship may have came as a shock to some, especially since Big Sean just called off his five-month engagement to Glee star Naya Rivera in April.

In fact, his latest single, "I Don't F**k With You," was inspired by his former fiancé.

"I was just honestly putting myself in a perspective, man. As an artist, you just have to do that sometimes. It's funny how records, sometimes they relate to you more later on, sometimes they don't. Obviously it kind of fits my situation," he told Ryan Seacrest in an interview, according to a Sept. 27 report by Us Weekly.

Three months after Big Sean and Rivera's breakup, the Glee actress married actor Ryan Dorsey. Ironically, the pair's nuptials were held on the date her and Big Sean were scheduled to wed.
