Dr. Luke has filed a counter suit in response to a lawsuit filed by Kesha in which she accused him of abuse.

In her suit, Kesha claimed Dr. Luke, one of the most prominent music producers in the industry, had physically and sexually abused her for years. In his defense, Dr. Luke is calling the "Tick Tock" singer out for extortion.

This is "a campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements," Dr. Luke's attorney, Chrstine Lepera, told TMZ on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Lepera also called the allegations "scurrilous."

The music producer claimed Kesha's lawsuit was an elaborate ploy concocted by Kesha and her mother, Pebe, in an effort to get out of a legally binding contract after signing with a new management firm.

Dr. Luke said he's had a drafted copy of Kesha's abuse lawsuit for months now, which she was reportedly threatening to file it if he didn't release her from the contract. She allegedly was going to turn him in to a blogger who started a popular "Free Kesha" website.

He additionally said Kesha and her mom had already admitted the statements are false, but the singer's attorney Mark Geragos went for the rebuttal.

"This is just another pathetic and entirely predictable example of Dr. Luke's continued abuse, and a misguided attempt to keep Kesha under his tyrannical control," Geragos told TMZ. "This lawsuit has absolutely no basis in fact, the law or reality. Kesha is focused on reclaiming her voice and her freedom. She is determined to move on with her life and her career by putting this dark period behind her."
