The incident reportedly took place last month when Cole found Sabrina Mercadel, an employee at Birdman's Cash Money Records, walking out of the bathroom at his West Los Angeles penthouse.

Mercadel filed court documents against the singer, claiming she was repeatedly punched in the face, slashed with fingernails and had objects thrown at her, according to an Oct. 15 report by TMZ. Mercadel further claimed her neck and back were hurt in the attack, and that one of her fingers was so badly damaged, doctors are unsure if it can ever be used again.

The Cash Money employee filed and was granted a restraining order against Cole, forcing the R&B singer to stay at least 100 yards away from her at all times.

Mercadel claimed she had no idea why Cole would think her and Birdman were an item. In fact, she has worked at Cash Records for about a decade and said she's known the exec since she was younger.

Sources at Birdman's home on the night in question said there was no romantic behavior between the two, and that she wasn't even alone with Birdman.

Mercadel was allegedly walking out of the bathroom when Cole targeted her. She started yelling, "What are you doing with my man?!" Mercadel's court files said she was at the penthouse to "visit a friend."

Cole was released on bail and is now working on a reality television show. There is no confirmation as to whether or not her and Birdman are back together.
